In 18-20 March 2005, there will be hot air balloons festival organised by Geneve tourisme. These balloons will gather together above the city of Geneva.

This picture taken last year, where they tried to lift the balloons from Vessy, down the saleve. mountain early in the morning. Unfortunately the weather was not so good, that they canceled after waiting for a few hours.
They tried again in the afternoon from several places around geneva (the oldtown, near UN, plainpalais etc), which I was not able to catch. hopefully I can catch those balloons next month :)

Nice wide angle shot, with the colorful balloons almost rising!
I like the blur mountains in the background.
The inclusion of people and cars give us an idea of the proportions here, very impressive.
I think that if you crop a bit the right side the composition will be more balanced, IMO.

Very nice subject to do a large post about, Cessy. The hot-air balloons make a brightly colored and appealingly graphical interest, and stand out well from the otherwise slightly hazy setting. Good work with the stitching.

it doesn't look like the sky is very acccomodating for flying in one of those things. this is a good clear shot with rich colors. its too bad they couldn't have taken off, that would have been great to shoot!

C'est une chance d'avoir tous les ballons gonfl駸 en m麥e temps pour donner ce tr鑚 bel ensemble. Les couleurs sont magnifiques. Je connais un peu le probl鑪e parce que je suis d'Annonay et que chaque ann馥 on a une f黎e semblable.
