Photographer's Note

View of Lavaux vineyards from a path coming down from Chexbres. These vineyard terraces have been on the Unesco World Heritage list since 2007.

Light was tricky but the moment when the sky started to clear up was irresistible. PP included more adjustments than usually to cope with brightness differences.

Personally I often like the days with some grey weather, even a distant mist, just like here Kari. You have an interesting result with well saturated colors from this landscape along the shores of the big lake.

Hei Kari,
What a lovely view over these vineyards. The autumnal colours are very beautiful. I like the POV and composition. It is interesting to see how several narrow roads are lingering at different levels from east to west. The misty clouds create a mysterious atmosphere. Thanks for the information link too.

Hello Kari! So you have returned to La Suisse, twice this year :))) Oh yes this is a wonderful part of Switzerland and I always like the moment when you drive around the corner coming from the Berne area and you see this. Hi Kari
You've made the most of the bad light here to show off the steepness of the slopes. I wouldn't have ventured out in such conditions but maybe you didn't have the choice. Good depth thanks to your pov along the wall to the house.

Wonderful POV looking down on these beautiful terraced hills and the tiny village on its slopes.
The misty foggy sky give this fine shot a steamy soft glow.
