Photographer's Note
This is a view from Queen College, Cambridge University. This college was built after the King's College, in 1448 by the Queen of Henry VI. That bridge is called the Mathematics Bridge. The bridge was designed by William Etheridge, and built by James Essex in 1749. It has been rebuilt on two occasions, in 1866 and in 1905, but has kept the same overall design (Wiki).

Hello Sothy,
The red man in the red canoe is a marvellous eye-catcher and a great addition to this romantic scenery. The evening light falls very nicely on the old fa軋des and has given the sky a fine yellowish tint. You have handled the light very well and the sharpness is equally good.
Regards,
Gert

Hi,
Very nice picture. Great frame. It is very clear but may be a bit dark. But I do like the color of the canot and the texture of the bricks wall.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Sothy
A very pleasing photo. The warm colors on the buildings contrast nicely with the bright red kayaker. The overall feeling of the picture is one of great calm.
The light has been handled well and the picture is razor sharp.

Hello Sothy,
You have given us an interesting note here and also a most beautiful photograph.
The composition is excellent and the contrasts and colours are absolutely sublime. I love the incredible detail in the structure of the bridge and in the fine brickwork of the college walls. The canoeist in red in his bright red canoe really holds the composition together and all the boats stand out perfectly in the inky water.
Perfect exposure, lovely vibrant colours and exquisite sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. Have you seen this picture by Bulent? He is a professor of physics and his extensive note about this bridge is very interesting even although his photograph is not, in my opinion, quite so impressive as yours.

Hello Sothy,
What a shame in having to cut off the left bank of the Cam River, but it is a very good photo of the Mathematical Bridge otherwise. The lighting presents the Cam with dark waters.
Warm regards, Sothy. Did you enjoy your stay in Cambridge. I took one of my favorite shots of the Cam last year, and posted it as VIEW OF THE CAM.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Sothy - I've just has a look at your blog and you have some super shots of England including this one. You have a lovely shot here. The mellowness you have captured in the buildings is excellent; warm and soft tones. The darkness of the river adds great atmosphere and I like the composition with the boats gliding silently down the Cam. Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Sothy,
Interesting to see a wooden brigh in such mornern place with the brick building next to it. One expect to see such bridge in the Cambodia perhaps :)
Anyway, which makes it very interesting. I like the presence of the people on the boat and canoe, with adds liveliness and relaxing atmosphere.

Hi Sothy,
There is a very strange atmosphere in this picture. The very eye-catching red kayak is along a line with the other boats hereunder the bridge. The composition feels very balanced. I like the very pleasant mood here!
Kind regards

Hello Sothy,
There are two different parts of this picture, one part with green vegetation and wonderful reglections and one part with straight lines and regular forms and beautiful textures and a contrasting beige and reds colour. These parts are excellently combined.
Enjoy the day,
Regards,
Maria

Hi, Sothy!
This shot conveys the atmosphere of an old English university excellently. The type and name of the Mathematical Bridge adds unusual notes in the whole picture.
Good luck.
