Photographer's Note
Years ago boxes of chocolates would have pictures on their lids, and I thought that this particular view might fill that bill.
Another shot from Cadgwith, a tiny fishing village, located on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall.
"A stream winding down the valley and trickling over the sand and shingle beach, whitewashed cottages, mostly thatched scattered on both slopes of the valley, and fishing boats drawn up on the beach.
A real working village, the fishing boats go out every day."
An alternative view in the w/s.
It was a warm day, but the sky hadn't yet changed to the perfect blue sky, which would have added to this scene!
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
I suppose these are ordinary homes to ordinary people. Or were most of these pretty cottages sold to wealthy stockbrokers from London long ago? Whoever uses them they are very pretty places to live. I like this composition with the narrow path leading us up to the building with the interesting painting where a window used to be. The WS puts the overwhelming flowers in focus.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
Such a charming view down the path through the garden. The two houses look so charming and you placed them really well in the composition. The green foreground with some red flowers is lovely as well.

HI Jean, great idea for the title, I also remember the boxes of Danish biscuits with images like these, shame about the electric wires but there are no problems, there is always some disturbing element everywhere now ... great view and also a nice WS. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Jean,
We had a perfect day today but of course I was at work so it does not really count but the days are as you say recently very warm and pleasant yet the sky too often overcast at the same time which does not allow to enjoy the summer days as much as you itherwise could.
THis scene is certainly very photogenic so it looks very pretty even though only part of the sky is blue.
Nice composition starting from the gate in the foreground, and leading us along the path.

Lep pogled, interesantan tekst ...
Lepo mesto sa cvecem i kuce, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom sa belim oblakom.
Dobar rad sa fotografijom u radionici.
Lep deo sela i arhitektura.
Zelim vam sve najbolje.

Hi Jean,
Interesting view with these traditional dwellings and their thatched roofs, good perspective effect with this path. I was wondering when reading the title the reason for mentioning chocolate? Well seen the allusion to boxes of chocolate or biscuits, an image also for the calendar of the post ... tfs.

Hi Jean
Another 2 good photos of classic Cornwall cottages. The painting/banner of the sailing ship in the window is interesting too.

Hello Jean, Wonderful thatched roof. In large format, one can see there is a net covering it. Interesting picture in the place of the window. But first of all, I like Tropaeolum majus, the garden nasturtium, I love these flowers. But they always have aphids.
Best regards MAlgo

Hello Jean,
You must have had a real problem deciding which of these two beautiful photographs of Cadgwith to use as your main! However, since we can see them both, the decision is less of a problem!!
I'm sure, many people would have had this sort of picture in their minds if you had asked for a typical English village! The scene immediately conjures up calm as well as beauty, inspired by your excellent compositions.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jean.
This place is a wonder with these original houses, without a doubt the thatched roof gives a great personality to the place, ideally decorated with the street and facades with flowers, curious as the deepest unevenness of the land is the street.
Ideal the other frame in the WS.
A magnificent color that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
Very good management of lighting and sharpness.
Well done. I like it.
I wish you a pleasant week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Jean,
Both photos are marvelous, showing this house from diff. angles and the charming surrounding.
The Ws reveals a bit of the place it was built upon.
Good evening,
Ike
