Photographer's Note
This is part of Whitsand Bay just west of Plymouth.
A typical Cornish beach with craggy rocks and beautiful sand.
There has been some landslippage over the winter as you can see if you look carefully.
In the far distance there is the town of Looe.
Thanks for looking, your comments will be gratefully received.

Hello Jean,
You have a nicely composed photo of this scenic bay and I like the soft light. I like your image very much but, in my opinion the photo would have been improved by stopping down at least a couple of stops to f/8 and using a tripod. The DOF and the sharpness would have been better. It seems that women are more practical and more "minimalistic" than men are and don't generally seem to like carrying around tripods (sorry about the generalization but from my observations this seems to be true). You have a great affinity for this type of seascapes and I enjoy your photos.
Best regards,
Stan

Hi Jean,
Wonderfully wild strand with the cold North Atlantic surf pounding on these craggy old rocks that have stood centuries of this abuse. I love the soft green moss clinging to the barren weather beaten rocks.

Well, certainly gave us a feel for precarious heights in this shot, Jean--it's good there was no land slippage under your feet! You're not just showing us what the beach looks like, you're showing us what it feels like to be there. A bit of a drab day but I think that's part of the atmosphere. Regards, Ken.

Hi Jean,
I have looked at your Cornish shoreline photos with delight. As a newcomer in TE, it is hard to catch up in commenting all your photos, but this one is one of those, which I return to. It has a great feeling. The high POV is effective. The colors are natural and soft. TFS.
Regards, Lasse
