Hi Steve,
good choice of B&W format, good control of light and your timing was spot on, i am guessing that ten minutes later and the shaft of light would have been off the tree.

Hi Steve
Really nicely seen moment and it works really well in black and white too. I would love to see the color version as well. This looks like a scene from a fantasy film, and these trees are charging downhill to battle, with the light shining on the leader. This is one of those photos I would sit and stare at for ages
