Photographer's Note
'Whaleback Blue', reclaimed Delabole slate and glass, the artist - Stacey Beaumont.
"My work explores the transitional effect of light through glass, which transforms static installations into sculptures that are dynamic and responsive to their environments.
I mainly use reclaimed Delabole slate to forge a solid design structure and use diurnal and seasonal rhythms to realise the concept.
I favour reclaimed materials because they bring their own character and stories to pieces, and because this helps to minimise the environmental impact of my work.
However, most of my glass is hand chosen from specialist or artisan suppliers with a specific purpose in mind.
Each piece is unique and cannot be replicated.
I am strongly influenced by the stunning natural environment surrounding my workshop on the north Cornish coast, as well as my childhood in Africa and travels since."

Hi Jean,it's a really nice piece of art, a slate base and lots of little inserts along with the big blue eye, a modern version of the ancient Greek mosaics, a really complete post showing both the details and the full view, top quality! Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Jean,
The WS come as a surprise after seeing the main photo. The details shown here are beautiful and the entire piece is quite stunning. This is a work of art I would have like to have in my garden (if I had had one). The view through the glass creates an interesting image, like an abstract painting. This is a marvellous work shown from different angles in three well taken photos.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
A great close-up of this work of art. I really like the shapes of those smaller pieces in the middle and their colours stand out so well from the darker parts above and beneath them. Well captured with good sharpness.

Hi Jean,
Nice close up photo but I am glad you also included the wider composition. Interesting art for sure, nice decoration for the local area. Good combination of the natural and artificial elements.
Very well done,

Hi Jean,
These wonderful details are certainly worth a closeup. Different colours of those details make the view quite vivid. Nice to see the overall view in the workshop too.
