Photographer's Note
After sharing lots of sculptures from the recent exhibition at Delamore, I thought that I would share this piece.
I have no idea what the tree looked like before it was felled, but this is what remains. Nature has worked on it, smoothing its surfaces with wind, rain and sunshine.
I hope that you like it.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Jean,I can't swear, but this looks like an overturned tree and what we see is the initial part of the roots. Today we did not need artists, nature has worked to offer us this natural sculpture that makes a good impression in this garden. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Jean,
Are you sure you didn't accidentally stumble into another sculpture park? This is a beautiful piece, and whatever forces of nature created this, the shapes and textures of the details are fascinating. Furthermore the dark as such looks very nice. You did very well to notice this little masterpiece.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Jean
I am guessing that the tree stump was inverted to show the extensive root system once underground. It looks like a superb natural sculpture. Good sharpness too. Tfs!

Hi jean
It looks to me like the stump of the tree has been turned upside down showing off the start of the roots. A good photo of this original natural sculpture.
cheers

Hi Jean
It has become like a work of art. I thought maybe it's upside down. Clarity and exposure done well. Good combination to grass greens. Beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing

Hi Jean,
Yes, this is an artwork by my favourite photographer here.
Set in a natural environment. Great sharpness so we can enjoy every detail of the sculpture.
Very well seen and captured,

yes, nature can act as a sculptor sometimes. nice sample of the artistic use of the natural shapes. check the link bellow of a polish-brazilian artist who created art using remains of the burnt forest:
