Photographer's Note
Tribal Urge tattoo parlour, Castle Road, Southsea, Portsmouth.
This one's for Kristin Fellows, as a "reply" to her last posting and another recent tattoo-filled group portrait. I waited for ages for a heavily tattooed biker (or other) to appear, but they were obviously camera-shy, so I contented myself with the bike and the garishly-painted shop-front.

Hello Will,
The tattooed person might have made a different impact but, as it stands, this is a fine shot. It is very well composed, has natural borders, sharp, accessible details but the details that, for me, really add impact are the yellow flames; they add pizzazz to the bike as if it is revving up, glowing!
A most enjoyable shot.
Have a great day,
Bev :-)

Hi Will
Splendid and gorgeous colors, so eye catching, and the bike is a good subject because generally bikers like to bear tatoos.
cheers

Hello Will,
A blazing display of colours all over the frame :-) Sad your wait did not result in a more photogenic subject, but this is not bad either. The bike goes well with the subject, as I see most of the bikers are heavily tattooed. Would have loved to see a old Harley over here.
Thanks for sharing.

cool find. indeed, british tattoo owners should be a bit shy, while the ones in kristin's photos tend to jump in from every possible corner.

Hi Will,
I just imagined a heavily tattooed camera-shy biker...lulz)))))
The bike's position fits perfectly those devilish flames, and the colors really make this place stand out... though I find them a bit unusual for a tattoo parlor, sort of Barbie gone wild you know... Great shot.
Best wishes!

Hi Will,
The big question if a large hairy tattooed biker came out do you think he would have welcomed a shot of him hey?
So a colourful neat pin sharp image of this parlour, with a super bike in it's porch. Tribal Urge, unusual name.
Cheers, Iain.

Hi Will,
What a wonderful fa軋de with its rather unusual wall colours. The shiny bike parked outside suggests a story about its owner - I wonder how many tattoos he has (probably a man!). A very sharp and well produced image that shows a side to Portsmouth that I haven't seen. And perhaps a small reflection that I recognise!
Best wishes, Ann

Hello Will,
An excellent composition that immediately catches one's attention because of the colours. The bike is perfectly placed so that the flames look like they originated from the bike. The biker was probably waiting for you to leave before coming out. It would have been a nice addition if your patience had paid dividends.
Regards,
Trevor

Hi Will!
Impossible not to notice this place! I like the combination of colours, the details and the motorbike so well placed in the frame with those paintings on the wall that look like flames. Even without the tattooed biker, it's a good and interesting shot!
