Photographer's Note
A view of the upper part of the Guildhall (town hall or meeting room) in Faversham, Kent.
This building, which was originally constructed in 1574, began life as a market hall. It was put into use as the Guildhall in 1603. This was to be the town's third Guildhall.
The building actually stands on stilts; the open area underneath was and still is used to provide cover for market traders and customers during the town's regular markets.
I will put a picture of the full structure in the workshop.
For those who have remarked before, all the images from Faversham were captured using a digital camera, probably my first one , a Cannon EOS 10D.

Hello Stephen,
The building is quite attractive and the composition successfully combines horizontal and vertical elements. The colours are very good and the pale green wall matches the dark blue sky nicely.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Stephen,
The tight frame is putting the building in evidence. The point of view is showing the details of the Guildhall. The light is enhacing the beauty of the colours. Have a nice day.

Bonjour, cher Stephen,

Hello Stephen,
It must have been a difficult decision about which of the photographs to post as your main one.
This, perhaps, has the greater clarity but I love the w/s which clearly shows the distinctive nature of the building. Together, they give a clear understanding of this fine, unusual building.
My warm regards,
Bev 😀

Hi Stephen
Very contrasting light and photos. The workshop one would have been great in better light but this one has good detail of the upper parts.

Hi Stephen
This fab Guildhall building with a beautiful clock and many uses in the past, has a wealth of history attached to it. I think, a step or two closer would catch top of the tower. Excellent shot
Best regards

Hi Stephen,
beautiful architecture.
I like the light green color of the building.
The main photo shows just a fragment of the structure but has the benefit of great weather and in such light everything looks so pretty!
The complementary photo allows us to better imagine the building and shows how different it looks when the weather is bad.
Great reportage,
M

Hello Steven
I like the foreground row of Flags across the front which add depth and layering to the composition. A nice warm cold colour contrast between the yellow green clock face and the blue sky. Thanks for sharing.
