Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm sure, if you viewed my photographs from yesterday, you will understand how thrilled I was to find this old, Anglo-Saxon church, in such wonderful repair.

I couldn't stop myself from photographing it from every angle!

This photograph of the church was obtained from the opposite end from that which I showed yesterday. As a workshop, I will show the rear of the church.

The square Anglo-Saxon tower was heightened by the Normans (you can see the change in colour and window style) whilst further extensions and alterations were made over the following 400 years.

I just can't help praising this building, so intact, for such an age, especially when you consider the ravages ordered by Henry VIII in the 16th century!

Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)
