Photographer's Note
Yorkshire is known for its stone buildings and bridges. There are a lot of quarries in the area. Most , if not all the houses are constructed of stone, which gives a very pleasant homogeneous flavour to the small villages dotted around the area.
This bridge, part of the estate of a friend of mine is a charmer. Moor hens nest in the reeds of the pond and come up onto the grass for the bird seed which my friend scatters around.
The landscape is very inviting, with undulating hills and great swathed of trees still standing. Sheep and cattle are always seen in the fields.
Pp work.

hi Joni
You are still very much attached to the homeland :) and from this fine landscape view, it is not hard to understand why. Perhaps due to land scarce, open fields are always nicely grassed and kept here. I like the country look.

Hello Joni,
Typical Yorkshire with the green pastures and the stone structures!
Like in Western Norway the freshness is due to the moist climate, but it looks good on sunny days, hehehe...
A well balanced composition with good details!

Hi Joni,
We meet here, too, beside TL, as it seems like... For my pleasure, because Your pics are high quality here, too. For example this one's a beautiful landscape with a trio of trees in the foreground, wonderful green color tones and optimally exposed sky (maybe I should have tried it with a little shorter shutter, as I'm a fan of slightly underexposed sky in sunshine, but this is just a personal opinion). Very artistic image, bravo.
Best regards, L疽zl

Hi Joni,
I have never been to England (I guess that a couple of stopovers in the Heathrow airport don't count), but every time I see a wonderful image like this I think that I did much wrong and I have to correct that ASAP.
The view is surely beautiful, but you know how to took profit of it to produce a very attractive photo, very well composed, clear and with colours very well rendered.
Regards, Jos.

Sorry for the delay to answer your kind words, Joni.
Compared to polluted cities, this is a paradoxal view that shows allover freshness!
Well-balanced sizes of trees, from the larger to the smaller for a pleasing setup in front of the slanted meadow.
Cheers.

You have made me a little homesick - I now live in Canada a much larger country but absence makes the heart grow fonder - and more appreciative of the country I was born in - the moist climate adds to the beautiful greens
Great job and well cropped

Hello Joni,
A lovely Yorkshire landscape with its rolling green fields and attractive stone bridge.
The off-centre, f/g tree helps to lead into the shot and is nicely balanced on the right by a smaller tree.
I like this very much.
Can you tell me where it is as I live in the borders of N.E. Lancs and West Yorkshire and spend much time in the white rose county.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
It's nice to see you on this site. I too-and-fro between all the sites!!

This is a very peaceful scene. One could almost rest on the grass - picnic style, lay back and watch the clouds. Perhaps the sound on the distant water would aid in a short nap. TFS David

hello Joni,
I like the simplicity of this shot, o bells and fireworks just lots of lush greenness. Arriving back from London the other day (back to Scotland) the thing that struck me was its greenness. Like here I appreciated the fresh greeness of things.A welcome sight after the concrete jungle and a balm to the eyes.A tree, a bridge and green fields is all that is required to feel at peace.
