Whitby is located at the exit of the River Esk to the North Sea. Even though it is a little town, there is quite a lot to see and do over there. On both sides of the river exit to the sea there are high cliffs. The north cliff has a monument of Captain James Cook, an arch-shaped monument made up of a whale bones and of course stunning views around. Stairs take you down to a great beach, a promenade and a lovely street full of shops with great quality fish and chips. After crossing a charming old bridge you can go to the southern side. The labyrinth of small streets with old houses takes you through jewellery shops selling jewellery with the black local stone called jet. Finally, you arrive at 199 stairs which lead to the southern cliff. At the top, next to St Mary Church you can admire view of the harbour and then you can continue to Whitby Abbey, which is in my opinion the highlight of the trip. If you are lucky you may witness a show about Dracula痴 visit to Whitby. Dracula supposedly travelled here at certain point of his career. Don稚 forget to take a boat trip, of course. Funny enough the place which I show you here is further up along the river, so to see the attractions which I mentioned you need to check my other photos from Whitby.

Hello Mariusz,
It was such a beautiful and calm winter day with a lovely and bright sunlight. Those reflections in the slowly moving water just couldn't have looked better. I like to see the boats in front of the town as well.

Hello Mariusz,
Another quite delightful photograph from Whitby.
The boats and their reflections make a very engaging f/g, especially as the ripples seem to smudge the reflections into the reflected sky.
I like how well you have filled the frame. Every element is important in the photograph, which is beautifully saturated.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz,
Marvellous reflections in the limpid, fg water, with good colour, sharpness and saturation. The yellow boat at right steals the show amongst all that blue. Tfs!

Hi Mariusz
photographers like us can spend days in places like this, and its so easy to see why. I wonder what Dracula did during his time here? haha...peaceful scenery, bright lighting, fine reflections, excellent angle, its got a lot working for it.
sweet shot from a sweet postcard town. cheers

Mariusz, fishing boats are moored in that quiet port. The red bricks seem to be the main material used to build the houses in Whitby. The town reflected on the water creates a beautiful visual effect. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Mariusz,
That yellow boat caught my attention because it adds another colour on this predominantly blue-red photo.
I like the waves in the middle of the river creating minor disturbances to the reflections.
Above all the brightness and the colours make sure that this is a very beautiful photo.
Best regards, Paul
