Getting ready to kick off the new season. I bet you were down getting your tickets for Colin Cooper's benefit match.
I like the way you positioned Wilf Mannion's statue so it looks as if he has kicked the logo. The only drawback is I think it is a bit too central in the frame. I wonder if it was possible to get into a position to place him further right and still get the logo near his boot and give more space on the left for the "kicked ball" to go into. Maybe not and it's a new subject for TE. Well done. I wonder if "Gentleman George" is next.

Hi Irene,
Since I had not seen your photos before and you only have some days here... Welcome to TE!
First of all, I like very much the 'photographer's eye' that made you see the opportunity. Exposure management is very good, too.
I only feel that I would have tried a different composition and/or cropping (I wonder how the photo would look if you cropped one/third of the image, to the right).
This way you would still have elements that let you know that this is a stadium, but should focus the attention on the statue 'kicking' the logo. (And this -I feel- is the 'primaary theme').
There is also another point to this, and it is that we generally see images from left to right, and that space behind Wilf's back could take away some strength.
Kind regards, saludos,
Carlos

Hey Irene,
are you alright?
;-D
An excellent shot of the Golden Boy in front of the Riverside stadium!
I like the way you made the F.C. logo act as a ball kicked by Wilf!
Good stuff, Irene!
Cheers,
Robi

This is a very sharp and clear shot and I noticed you used to a tripod.
well done because the position of the football player is perfect.

Hi Irene,
Good idea to use the logo of Middlesbrough FC as a ball. Good light and colours. Maybe I would have framed differently, with the football player on the right rather than in the left part of the picture.

I presume you placed the logo in line with the statue's foot on purpose. Good idea. I don't think it's really necessary to put the whole stadium in the shot therefore I'd remove the right side of the shot and make it into a vertical position. This would match the vertical figure better I think.

Hi Irene. Nice photo. I'd suggest taking the right hand third off to centre the statue and give it more impact. TFS. Regards. Paul.
