Night bus vibes, a photo from Down, Northern Ireland

Photographer's Note

Ulster Transport Museum has many dioramas in addition to real size museum items. This one presents bus transport of the old days on the last bus of the evening. Perhaps the action hasn't changed that much after all, except that conductors have disappeared. I guess smoking was banned already then.
This diorama uses forced perspective, meaning that details in the back are smaller, giving the impression that the scene is actually deeper than what it really is. This technique is often used on dioramas and model railways.

Hello Kari,
To me this looks like out of a horror movie. People look happy and cheerful but soon the good mood will change. There will be blood!
The forced perspective works very well with photos too. It looks very realistic, and you had perfect sharpness all the way.

They certainly managed to capture and convey the mood in a night bus here with this collections of mostly laughing face, but for the cranky one at right, but I guess they are always part of a scene like this as well. Good warm lighting and fine clarity.

Hi Kari,a work of great quality with expedients to increase the perspective and the result is wonderful, here we are really far back in time, I remember when people smoked on the bus but the ban has existed for at least 50 years also in Italy. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

before opened the thumbnail, i was sure you meant to show real people - but reading the note and a second look revealed how beautiful those figures, almost alive and amuzing characters.
