Photographer's Note

For our dear friend Serghei. Like many of you, I read the very sad news of Serghei's passing this morning. Many of us here knew him for more than a decade and were still in contact with him. His skill as a photographer, traveller and pasta artiste were just part of what made him a wonderful human being. But it was his humour and kindness which made him stand out. My deepest condolences to Serghei's family, he was taken too young and it is such a tragic loss. One of Serghei's favourite sayings was, "Go to heaven for the climate, go to hell for the company". Wherever you are, my friend, they're in for a lot of fun and mischief.

Hello Lisa!

I remember Serghe�. True, I wasn稚 on TrekEarth for 5 years, but I know the job back then.

Unfortunately, COVID is not a game, although many people think so. You can die of this infection. (This remark does not apply to Serghe�, but to the many irresponsible politicians and people.)
In Hungary, more than 30,000 people have died in this in the last 1.5 years.

I'm sorry.

I am not giving a point now, out of piety, and thank you for the commemoration.

71 in ICU Sydney at the moment so please take care. A sad loss indeed. The little cottage in the bottom left corner makes a great focal point and provides scale. I am sure Serghei would have loved it. Tfs!

Hello Lisa,
This is a beautiful view with fantastic contrasts of warm and cold colours. The white building is well placed near the corner. It's just a pity that you needed the sad loss of a common friend to find a reason to post it here. Your photos would be welcome on the site anytime.

Ciao Lisa.The best commemoration for our friend , with whom I also had a lot of fun when he put photos of his sculptures made with pasta and I commented with my pasta ... cooked ... ahaha ... even if he no longer frequented this site I miss him a lot, and apparently not only me, many wanted to greet him today. Hello Lisa,
An impressive and poetic landscape as a farewell to Serghei.
The picture lets us wander through the vast Scottish landscape as Serghei embarked on his greatest journey.
Lots of strength for his family and hopefully some high-ranking politicians will finally take more responsibility to get rid of COVID in the entire world.
