Photographer's Note
Summer is well and truly drawing to a close so far north of the equator! I've been out a lot making the most of it, but often the camera doesn't come with me.
On this occasion it did and I've posted a few shots from this location. Calm seas are a rarity here and it's often difficult to get a steady shot from the top of a cliff.
In this shot the lighting was quite difficult because the cliffs on the right were in shade, but I wanted to shoot with the sun to my right. An ND Grad was used to hold back the sky and then the levels were adjusted in Photoshop to balance the image.
I love the red colour in these cliffs.
The birds you can see at the end of the cliff outcrop are cormorants.
Thanks for looking
Craig

That rock looks like the foot of a giant that is going to take a bath, bravo!

I don't need to repeat my self. You are a natural born landscape photographer and each and every photo you upload, proves it.

Wonderful shot, Craig. Great composition and colors. Good job with the exposure, too, the ND worked perfectly. I'm not sure because my monitor is small, but either there's a bit of noise in the dark places or it might be a tad oversharpened.

Hi Craig, I came across your gallery whilst critiqueing another member. I have visited your galary and find your work very pleasing. In particular this one. I like how you have positioned the image with the grass and small rock in the foreground to give added depth of perspective to the larger rock on the right then focusing along the soft sea and splashes of cloud. There is a slight tilt in the horizon but very minimal. this is lovely composition in line with what I enjoy. Well done on a great image. Good depth of overall colour.
