Photographer's Note

This is a repost of a shot I took in April this year. Looking back at the RAW's I wasn't happy with the White Balance I posted and wanted to show the cooler hues that more honestly represented that cold evening.

A few other things have been changed as well including overall shadow highlight balance, slightly different crop to original post (same a WS) and a different method of sharpenning).

Original notes below...
----------------------------

I've wanted to take a shot at this location for a while now. It's the village in Shetland where I grew up and the old part of it (shown here) is very pictureque.

In the last few years they've built a new marina with a large stone breakwater. I wanted to show this old dilapidated pier in the foreground reaching out to the new marine across the bay.

It was a gloomy evening, but I think this has resulted in a lot of atmosphere. The exposure was long, hence effect on the water making it seem incredible foreboding.

Critiques and comparison welcome!
Thanks
Craig
