There is a big wall in a corner of Cardiff Castle, not a rampart. It is adorned with many sculptures of animals, part of the romantic fantasy created by the owners. Here we can see a young lion, or a puma, its eyes and the others animals are amazing.

Hi Jorge

It was a pleasant surprise opening the thumbnail and discovering the glass eyes of the stone statue of the lioness, complete with highlights. Good sharpness and textural detail in the lichen covered stone. Tfs!

Hello Jorge,
These eyes on the big cat are like the cherries on the cake. It makes the stone animal look surprisingly alive. You balanced the photo well and there is a nice inclusion of the wall to the side. There is a very nice warm light.

Very unusual and in in this case rather startling to see glass eyes on a sculpture. It is well framed and sits nicely against the background architecture of the castle. The lighting is very appealing and the textures well rendered.

Il est beau cet animal et on se demande si on devrait en avoir peur ou bien si on devrait le flatter. J'ignore comment ils ont fait ses yeux, mais ils ont l'air vrai.
