Photographer's Note

Something I discovered while in UK it when Normans invaded the island (in 1066) they build new castles in every corner, and I visited many of them. Here we have the last stronghold inside Cardiff Castle, we can see the artificial mount and the small castle up there. The base of the ramparts near that gate we can see ahead are from Roman times.

Algo que eu descobri quando visitava o Reino Unido � que quando os Normandos invadiram a ilha (em 1066) eles ergueram um castelo em cada canto dela. Eu vi muitos deles, esse aqui � o 伃timo reduto, um pequeno forte no interior do castelo de Cardiff, erguido no topo de um monte artificial. Ao fundo vemos um portal e a base das muralhas daquele lado do castelo s縊 romanas.

Hello Jorge, Fantastic view of this stronghold. A nicely composed picture with the framing by the trees from above. The diagonal path leads the eye to the castle on the hill. Good colors and sharpness.

Hello Jorge,
The Normans were indeed prolific castle builders; they wanted to ensure that what they had conquered remained theirs. The point of view is well chosen to show the caste and the surrounding gardens and using the footpath as a lead-line. The people are nicely dispersed about the frame and give scale to the composition. Excellent technical quality.

Hello Jorge,
It's a very attractive view and a good composition. The fortress on the hill is perfectly framed by the branches of the nearest trees. I still think the photo could have been improved if some slightly disturbing elements had been cropped off, and if the photo had been a little bit brighter. I made a WS to show what I mean, and I hope you won't mind.

PS I forgot to mention in the note to the WS that I also used the "auto smart fix" to brighten the shadows and colours.

Hi Jorge,

The bg castle on the horizon is nicely framed by the partially silhouetted fg branches. Good sharpness and well composed. The diagonal path coming in from the left adds splendid linear perspective. Tfs!

A great photo of Cardiff Castle and the overhanging leaves create a wonderful frame right around the castle on the hill here. The light was very appealing too. Great work.

lovely castle but what makes this picture to stand out is the composition. I like very much the well thought framing especially with the branches on top.
You had a great weather in Cardiff and you have perfectly used it.

Vejo que est� ausente do TE j� h� alguns dias, imagino que por motivo de viagem... No Reino Unido deve ter realmente muito castelo, cada um mais bonito que o outro, e essa vista do castelo emoldurado pelas folhas das 疵vores ficou uma beleza, o que tamb駑 d� boa profundidade � imagem!
