another attempt at taking snow pics.taken in raw-
adjusted using photo-elements 4 and nik software.
the white streaks are caused by the snow still falling.

Hi Geoff--An excellent location to photograph the snow, where its surface has depth and texture from the stones, and where the cold brown stone itself provides a contrast of color. Nice POV and composition. I guess if it only comes once in 18 years, you have to take full advantage, and it appears that you did. Regards, Ken.

Ken pretty much said what I observed and liked as well. Sharp and detailed, a true (and beautiful) winter atmosphere.

simply amazing. I was expecting it to be HDR, but this is even more amazing. It looks like an illustration from a very old book. It's really beautiful. Incredible lighting and contrast with all that white and marvelous shadow and detail. Very, very nice! Many thanks and kind regards,
