you captured a great moment! i like those simple scenes of the everyday life! We can feel the loneliness of this man with his hands in a praying manner, whilst his fellow companions watch football on TV and do not seem to care about him...good shot from cardiff!

Oh yes...Cardiff rocks! And so you bought a 20D, hein? You couldn't help it, it was stronger than you, I guess. Nice.
He is looking at another screen on the left, isn't he? This pub don't feel very cozy, but I would gladly go for a pint right now.

What a miserable looking pub. And Alan Ball on the TV. This comes close to my idea of hell!! Nice picture though.

incredible sharpness! i like how the vivid colors on the tv stand out from the earth tones. the flatscreen almost looks like a man's portrait in a black frame :-)

who's Annie? the title is catchy! Too bad, there's not even a single lady on this pub, is it for the boys? hehe...tfs!

New camera Maciek, cool. I like this in that it is a very good representation of a completely typical scene. However, things like this are not that easily caught well, too often the exposure will go for crap, or there will be other distractions. Everything is well controlled here. The expression of the guy on the right is excellent, and I like how the group on the left balances out the photo. The only small thing I notice is that there is a little too much space on the right edge, or not enough on the left. Just slightly unbalanced. Very nice shot.

20D + 17-40 : hey you, copycat ;)... ! I then guess Canon reply about your 300D failure was something like "bend over and smile"...
I have a hard time commenting this one, if you wanted to freeze boredom in action, well you've done it.. otherwise, I start to understand why you said Cardiff was lacking Asia's bustle (sorry to welsh friends)...
As a pub photograph it reminds me more a suburb supermarket cafeteria on the night of christmas two minutes before closing (well, I suppose, I fortunately never experienced that...): dreadful atmosphere... it sure lacks a bit of motion and ambiance.. don't tell me it's your regular pub :(((
Really don't know what to say about this shot.. perhaps it would fit in a serie, but it's depressing as a standalone...

I like, no love, pubs, and I often think what a great subject they'd make. This is a very well captured atmosphere. Very clear and sharp for a no flash shot. Did no one notice you shooting? Widzą was jutro.

Absolutely love this Maciek - wonderful nostalgic, sad mood you've captured. Great light and sharpness and I like the framing. I find your title very moving.

Czuje się "knajpiany" nastroj.
Podoba mi sie uchwycenie zblazowanej twarzy czlowieka.
