interesting interpretation of your own photo. To me the image does not seem threatening but certainly interesting and artistic. I like the diagonal composition and the waviness is indicative of water.

Had me confused for a minute. It's so catchy and send my eyes funny, I really like the smooth movements and the flowing shapes it creates. This make a facinating abstract, very good distorted reflection effect with hint of reality in the railings. An intriging image, another of those special shot that most people would miss, wonderful eye you have. Great.

I think it sounds more like a classic French film noir than a British movie, but I like it :)
reflections are very much abused and overrated on TE, I read the most idiotic praises for photos which personally I would have trashed right away - yours however is an intelligent attempt of suggesting what's above the water (by including the railway, for example), which, along with the neat division into three main compositional areas, makes the photo an enjoyable eye-catcher.

This fantastic abstract caught my eye when I looked at your page today. It is truly beautiful and does go very well with your thriller! :-)
To answer your question, I do think you are a photographic purist as you seem to seek the very essence of visual art with your creativity. My note about purists was a bit ironic.

Hello Claude,
I saw this oldie by coincidence. Missed it six years ago, but it's still a great composition. Credits go mainly to the graphical qualities and cropping and of course the conversion to B&W, but also to the story.
