Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
The promenade at Cleveleys has shelters which have curved windows, looking out to sea. One of these made the perfect viewpoint from which to capture the similarly curved features of Mary's Golden Shell, the steel sculpture on the beach.
(I will add a view of one of these seating shelters as a workshop.)
For more information about Mary's Golden Shell, please see my previous post.
I hope these photographs will inspire other people to visit this small town, north of Blackpool. It is much calmer and less tacky than Blackpool.
I wish you all a happy day, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
I cannot imagine that Cleveleys is much represented on TE; you have certainly done your best to put it on the map. The curved window makes an excellent frame for the artwork on the beach. Good management of the light and shadow contrasts. Fine colour contrasts.

Hello Bev,
You show us more fine curves today in this elegant composition. The "shell" on the beach looks good from this distance too, but you also found a very suitable and attractive foreground where you handled the light and shade cleverly.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Bev,
the very well chosen view point and the upright format has resulted in a most interesting shot with lots of curves in a strong composition.
Best wishes Les.

Bonjour Beverly,

Hello Bev,
Everything for the art.
Excellent idea of the authorities to give these shelters the same curves as the sculpture.
Excellent idea of you to make a photo of shelter-curves and sculpture-curves united in one shot.
And nice of these people to give extra ambiance to the image by standing at that place.

Chosen this perspective, as a complementary picture to your previous post, Beverley.
Frankly, and I hope you will not be angry with this, this is rather a difficult POV for the sight, though focus was directly at the shell on the beach. Nice try, maybe you would take 10m backwards step, if possible it would have a bit more of the place.
Good evening,
Ike

Hello Beverley, a well considered composition where the beach sculpture echoes the curve of the shelter.Mary's Golden Shell makes the perfect focal point with the figures dotted around it.All backed by blue sea and sky.
Best wishes Jean.

Hello Beverley,
Wow, the curves in the foreground are beautiful and even stronger thanks to the shadows. The sculpture is the perfect addition to the centre of the photo. Very well seen and captured.

Hi Bev
if you want to hear about tacky tourist crap, read my newest post today! haha
seems like there are more and more of these art instillations going up all over the world...is it just me or is that correct?
its fun to see the repetitive circular motions from the Shell in the fg as well, its like a continuation of subjects from fg to bg. well done, i like it.
cheers

Hello Bev,
How many fantastic curves are on this beach. Looking at it in miniature, I thought it would be the close up of the sculpture. But it is even better, as in the window we still can see The Shell and the playing kids. superb composition.

Hi Bev
Missed this one. Good color, sharpness and saturation with the dual curves either side in the fg acting as nice frames to the bg scene of Mary's Golden Shell, although it looks more silvery from this angle. Tfs!

Good use of the geometric lines. Great idea for a composition. On my screen it looks a bit noisy.
