Photographer's Note

Just a quick note to say I'll be a rare visitor on TE for the next 2-3 months. Busy time at work!

I took this photo this morning soon after sunrise in Bushy Park in SW London.

Hello Kasia,

An absolutely breathtaking scene, evocative of a the misty mornings I've seen at the Henley Royal Regata... before the oarsmen appear. Instead of three ducks in a row, I've seen pairs of swans.

On another topic, sometimes coming out of an air-conditioned interior into the hot and humid outdoors, I've been frustrated by my camera lens fogging up. Recently, a professional photographer suggested that I keep my cameras in sealed plastic bags. Then removing the camera outside will prevent the fogging.

I saw this last night but didn't want to "insult" you with just a comment.
What a disappointing message as you enter the "work season", but what a beautiful photo. The sun, just partly hidden by trees, looks out of this world (it is!) and the three ducks entered the frame just like you probably had asked them to do.
Thank you for your latest critiques. I sincerely hope to see you back here in due time.

That light is phenomenal. You have captured a really magical feel in this place. The strong, almost heavenly feeling is balanced and brought back to earth perfectly by the row of ducks. Great photo.

Witaj Kasiu. Rare visitor, więc jest jednak jakaś nadzieja że może zajrzysz kiedys choc na chwilkę. Pewnie przygotowujesz sie do Australii. Będzie nam tu Ciebie brakowało. Pewnie ktoś tu jest bardzo niepocieszony :). Jakie piekne zdjecie towarzyszy temu smutnemu tytułowi. Cudna mgiełka, kolory, ale najlepsze sa te trzy kaczuszki. prześliczne zdjęcie, jak zawsze z Bushy Parku o swicie.
Wracaj jak najprędzej.

Cieple kolory poranka robia wrazenie.Zastanawiam sie czy nie rownie ciekawie praca ta wygladala by w b&w.

It almost makes me wonder why you travel so much when you can make such stunning photographs just down the road! Who was it said "All my best photographs are made within 100 yards of my front door"? Careful of your sensor when shooting directly into the sun. And don't work too hard!

It's an 'old' photo in the gallery now, but I chanced on it by clicking on a link in the note of your latest upload. It reminded me immediately and very strongly of a number of J.M.W.Turner's paintings. The way the light comes through the trees, suffusing the whole scene in various subtly different tones. Wonderful placement of the ducks, and all told a superb photo.
