An optical effect, a photo from London, England

Photographer's Note

My second trip to London in 2016. While I was walking along the shore of the Thames, in the zone of the Tower of London, I was taking some photos of this building, The Shard, the tallest one of the city, and then I saw this scene that made me remember the tragedy of the attack to the Twin Towers in NY.
But lucky, it was only an optical effect, since the plane was enough far from the building, and the perspective was very flat due to the use of the zoom of my camera.

Mi segundo viaje a Londres en 2016. Mientras paseaba a lo largo de la orilla del T疥esis, en la zona de la Torre de Londres, tomaba algunas fotos de este edificio, The Shard, el m疽 alto de la ciudad, y entonces vi esta escena que me hizo recordar la tragedia del ataque a las Torres Gemelas de NY.
Pero afortunadamente, era solamente un efecto tico, ya que el avi estaba bastante lejos del edificio, y la perspectiva era muy plana debido al uso del zoom de mi c疥ara.

Hello Josep,
When I was in London last year, I found The Shard a great source for many great photos. You captured it here so well with excellent sharpness. Good timing for the plane right next to it. The light was very pleasant too.

This is always a little bit scare an airplane and big tower against each other.
These is technical perfect made.
Also, excellent depth and perspective.
A lovely architectural picture taken nice sharp and clear.

A reminder of tragedy!!
You realised that the in-coming plane was passing very near the tower creating a strange feeling and so well timed there. A lovely composition and does make one think, generally I like that sort of detail in the sky - plane or bird or vapour trail - it means movement, something dynamic and unpredictable. A beautiful modern day image nicely framed and here it has an added weight!! Congrats

It's an excellent photo but will bring bad memories to most of us. But the tall building is quite beautiful and you timed the photo well to capture the airplane seemingly approaching it. The composition is simple but graphically superb and very well exposed.

the view of this landmark of London is presented superb,with the passing by airplane to be a bonus to the composition.I like the good placement of Shard in the frame with the light and the colour management to be excellent.

Yes unfortunately this shot of the aircraft approaching the Shard skyscraper now evokes unpleasant memories of 9/11. Good minimalist shot with excellent sharpness and it interesting to see silhouetted human figures in the upper glassed section floors of the building. Tfs!

Sensacional composici, ciertamente el efecto tico nos hace creer que el avi se dirige hacia la torre, que por cierto es un edificio formidable y con un remate muy original, cuando yo visite la ciudad no exist僘n muchos de estos modernos edificios que se han levantado posteriormente.
Muy buen color que resalta la imagen.

Yes it does look scary.
Ironically although I live in the UK almost 6 years now, I have seen this building only once and I don't even have a proper photo of it. I suppose I have to return there someday again.
