Photographer's Note

A set of shots from York from 2006. The river level was quite high so I thought it worthy of a shot or two.

"York's location, on low ground at the junction of the rivers Ouse and Foss, means that certain parts of the city and surroundings can be prone to flooding.

But all but the most severe flood events have a minimal impact on daily life and business in the city."

28th December 2015, York suffered its worst flooding in a generation; the Ouse peaked at 5.2 metres above its normal summer level.

Looking at my post, I realise that I have not posted my edited version, hence the orange mesh in the bottom right hand corner. In my edited version I had cropped this out!
Two more pictures in the w/s.

Thanks for looking.
