Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
Please see in a New Tab for greater clarity.
Still with my theme of spring daffodils but this time a short distance from Alnwick to the ruined castle of Dunstanburgh.
Dunstanburgh is a 14th century castle, standing on the Northumberland cliffs just north of Crastor.
I was actually in the grounds of the castle but, by bending down, was able to fill the foreground with the details of the flowers and show one of the still standing towers of the castle beyond.
Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Every year when I see the daffodils than I am very happy.
This is a sign that we get the springtime.
But the previous night we got snow, no much but very cold +2ー Celsius.
The flowers cares for a pleasant colour and the old ruin makes your picture completely
Very well done, TFS,
Kindest regards,
John

Hello Bev
Like the POV. Makes the tower look very small in the scene. Too bad a lot of these great castles could not be restored. Must be so nice to live among Kings, Queens, knights, and castles. Here we have ...... I'll move on. Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us.

Hello Bev,
This is an amusing and smart composition. You made the ruined castle look like it was made by children in the field. While looking up is a good way to find unexpected photo angles, obviously kneeling down can be just as efficient. Besides, this view probably enhanced the fine combination of blue, yellow and green.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
THe daffodils are a natural frame of the castle. The point of view is showing the details of the flowers and the ruins of the castle. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

A good PoV and positioning on the castle, but the daffodils as was your intention take the limelight in the foreground. Brightly lit and full of colour.

Hello Beverley, the cheering sight of yellow daffodils. An interesting point of view where the castle looks quite small, yet nevertheless a good alternative focal point.
The blue sky is the perfect complement.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Beverley,
A great view of the castle tower in the background among the many daffodils, which look very sharp and clear. The blue sky looks great behind them too.

Hello Beverley,
A combination that I would not immediately find in my own country: the ruins of a castle and a lot of daffodils.
A wonderful spring picture, especially now that we are having winter days in April.
Simple but beautiful composition.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Bev,
'All hail to the three Wise Kings'........as you bending down with courteous.
The castle is a clear resemblance , to what I'm imagining :-)
The pretty spring daffodils vivify the whole scene ...even the Kings are holding hand in hand , dancing merrily .....
I'm not only seeing daffodils , there are some white flowers mingling nicely with the daffodils......well, the grasses adding some soft textures ??? :-))
Thanks for sharing this wonderful blue sky.

Hi Bev
A nice minimalist shot and well composed using the rule of thirds. Good sharpness and terrific warm cold colour contrasts between the blue sky and yellow daffodils. The ruined castle adds a focal point. Tfs!

Hi Bev
Bending down is better than lying down to take a photo - much easier to get back up. A great one with the floral foreground and the ruin that almost looks like a hand making a rude gesture.
cheers

The castle seems as rising from within the daffodils field, Beverley, nice spot to apply a picture from.
We have only white daffodils in Israel, only blossom short period during winter, in remote rocks terrian.
My best regards,
Ike

Hi Bev,
great composition with the tower feeling so small next to the same size flowers. I like this effect which you achieved thanks to great depth of the field. You have well placed the tower in the frame. The colors are stunning as well.
This is the season for daffodils indeed.
Excellent work,
M

Dear Beverley,
This photo obeys the rule of the thirds both vertically and horizontally. Beside, the line of the yellow flowers is a nice addition and complements the blue sky nicely. It goes to my favourites.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hi Bev.
Original and charming composition with this line of daffodils, there are three beautiful stripes of color, green, yellow and blue, the tower is a bonus to this spring composition. Flowers are one of my subjects in photography, I have hundreds. But here they cannot be shown.
Magnificent composition and color.
Excellent brightness and sharpness.
Well done. I love the photo.
Have a good start to the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
