Photographer's Note
The Watercress Line, aka Mid-Hants Railway, approaching Ropley station.
Not an old image, but I've sepia toned it to create a cheaply sentimental atmosphere!

Hi Will,
Good to see a new post from you. Keep them coming, please! A superb b&w image with good tonal range and sharpness. I like the reflection of the signal box and pole at right. Tfs!

Hello Will,
It's nice to see you here once in a while. We're told we should go by train instead of flying or using cars, because trains are less harmful to the environment. Does that include this train? No doubt smoke looks good on old style photos anyway. I'm sure Gyrgy will also love this. It's good, and it's B&W.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Will
Do you use Silver efex with its great filters for your B&W conversions?
You've achieved the look you wanted very well for a great old train feel.
cheers

Hi Will
Striking with a full head of steam!!
The point of view is very effective and makes for a compelling composition, a scene that takes me back to the 50s when 壮potting trains was my boyhood hobby. There's always something special about steam locomotives..

Hi Will
It's almost hard to believe this is not an old photo. Your choice of post-processing matches the subject. I can't figure out how you took it, I assume you must have been on that train, leaning out quite a bit. Great timing to include the windsock.
I love how you captured the smoke and that it creates a diagonal line.
Best wishes
Kasia
