Photographer's Note
I was quite surprised to read yesterday that Russia was offended that supposedly Ukrainians attacked the fuel storage facility on the Russian territory. I have no idea whether they really did it or not but the Kremlin speaker suggested that it was not a nice gesture during the peace talks which are going on. I fell off a chair reading it. Russia has killed so many civilians, they destroyed for no reason most Ukrainian cities and in spite of peace talks they didn稚 even respect the humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians, but they feel it is not fair that Ukrainians possibly do something on their territory.
To be honest I am surprised that they didn稚 do anything so far.
At the beginning of the WWII Germans in Berlin were most likely not aware the German soldiers are killing Poles, murdering civilians and bombing old town Warsaw to the ground. Poland had an opportunity at that time to bomb Berlin, we didn稚 have fighter aircrafts, but we had some good bombers. Poland refused to do it because it was against the Geneve Convention. Germans didn稚 bother at all. I keep thinking, whether the WWII may have looked differently if Poland would bomb Berlin in September 1939. Maybe the average Germans would realize that there is more going on than they are being told by their Fuehrer? Same happens today. I think the Ukraine have every right to venture into Russian territory. An attack is the best defence.
The title of the photo refers to Jesus words to one of his disciples. I think it is today痴 message from God to Russia: 撤ut your sword back in its place, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword (Matthew 26:52).
Why do I talk about it while showing a picture of a church?
To be honest I am slightly disappointed with the behaviour of the Pope Francis. There were a lot of discussions about how the Pope Pius XII behaved during the WWII. There is no such thing like being neutral when facing the evil. Many historians accused him of a collaboration with Nazis. I suppose he was surrounded then, but I never knew what has really happened there. Now I can see myself. Present day Pope speaks very generally about the war, he does not use word Russia, nor does he blame the Putin. When he started one of the prayers he first started to pray for poor Russian soldiers and then he eventually mentioned also the Ukrainians. He talks to his counterpart in Russia (Patriarch Kirill of Moscow), who is openly pro-war and pro-Putin, almost as if blaming Ukrainians for defending their country. It looks quite disappointing to me. Jesus said once: 鄭ll you need to say is simply 塑es or 鮮o; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. (Matthew 5:37). I prefer the position of the American President, who seems to follow these Jesus words more closely, and who supports the weaker victim who needs help.
This photo presents the Manchester Cathedral. I have another picture of this lovely church taken from another side and at different weather conditions here:

By the way Manchester Cathedral belongs to Church of England so it is neither Roman Catholic nor Russian Orthodox.

Hello Mariusz,
Under the bright daylight, the church edifice looks marvelous. The weather was in your favor, and you found the perfect POV to document this church with its imposing tower.
Wish you a nice weekend,

Hi Mariusz,
Beautiful view of this old cathedral. And lovely spring weather. I read your note with interest. Here in Finland what pope the pope says or doesn't say rarely appears in the news.

Hello Mariusz,
A beautiful view of this typically English cathedral with lots of small turrets and this large square tower in the middle. The sunlight was so nice and pleasant and made the warm tones of the walls make a great contrast with the blue sky.

I remember I visited this cathedral, it was being restored, it was nice, but I had seen so much special churches before.
the note you did has a meaning like a famous tale, with dialogue between the wolf and the lamb, who has the power ever have the reason, not matter the facts. my portuguese cousin drove a truck from portugal to ukraine taking food and the first families of ukraine arrived in my region.
take care

Ciao Mariusz,in fact the Pope has always refused to mention the names of the guilty even if you understand very well who he is talking about, but on the other hand he cannot do much, and perhaps he has a much lower charisma on the people and on the heads of state than to what Pius XII had. However, today it is rumored that he is planning a trip to Kiev, we'll see ... the photo of the church was a great excuse to talk about the last episodes of the war, top quality as always. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hi Mariusz
A also find it amazing that the Russians would whinge about the fuel tank bombing! Australian has many Russians and Ukrainians living here with the Russians here supporting the Ukrainians at protests.
A good photo of this fine church.
cheers

Hello Mariusz,
I'm afraid your surprise and dismay has been greatly increased today by seeing the images of the Russian army rampaging in Bucha near Kiev.
After the recapture of Bucha, the Ukrainians found corpses of civilians all over the streets.
Citizens who went shopping by bicycle are lying dead next to their bicycles and their purchases.
According to testimonials women and children have been raped in front of their families.
It is clear that not only Putin is a monster. It seems that crime is ingrained in the Russian soul.
How will these crimes ever be punished after the war ends? Impossible as long as Russia is a nuclear power.
I'm glad I never spent one euro on a trip to Russia or on their national airline.
One cannot think of enough sanctions to end the crimes of this army.
Regarding the photo: Taken from a good POV, clear and sharp picture in ideal weather circomstances.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz.
This cathedral looks superb, with those beautiful and large Gothic windows, a good tower also with large windows, beautiful pinnacles topping both the building and the tower.
Very nice color, which together with good sharpness and optimal lighting, gives great quality to the image.
Well done. I like it a lot
You have a good day.
Very best regards
Luis.
