Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
At such a difficult time, when news about the ferocious attacks on Ukraine are constantly in the news, and we become more horrified by the atrocities inflicted by Russia on their neighbours, I thought I would post this little niche of calm.
This daffodil-filled area is called 'The Peace Garden'.
It exists behind our village church and is a garden in two parts. The area that I have shown, is left to be relatively wild, with daffodils, tulips, bluebells and aquilegia growing freely under the trees, and twigs gathered for the benefit of insects.
The second area has a gravel path, travelling around a heart-shaped lawn, with shrubs, and flowers, such as lupins, phlox and penstemons planted between them.
There are several benches placed around the gardens so people can rest and quietly enjoy the environment, watching the birds or just thinking.
For that reason, it is called 'The Peace Garden', a place to be at peace with yourself and the world.
I hope that we will soon have news that Russian Troops have been withdrawn and PEACE has been declared.
My warm regards,Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
The colours, composition and shape all make this a very appealing photo. I really like the yellow and bright green lower two thirds and the grey and darker green upper third. But the message sent by the place we are looking at is not less important. It just makes me sad that a large majority of the Russian population so far have been standing firmly behind their mass murder leader, and also that Russia has a fairly strong support from the leaders and populations of so many other countries in Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
The flowers are impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the church and of the flowers. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hello Beverley,
Such a nice vertical composition, almost in the shape of a bookmark. The foreground is so appealing with all those daffodils and you included the church very well in the background as well.

Hello Beverley,
The many yellow daffodils make a beautiful spring foreground for the view of the church.
The photo was taken almost a month ago. In the meantime, many young leaves will already be growing on the branches. Spring is moving very fast here at home.
Concerning the war: I hope not, but fear that Putin is capable of a lot not to have to admit that Russia has not won the war.
I also find it terrible when I hear that in other places in the world, for example in Ethiopia, people are offering themselves at the Russian embassy to go and fight in Ukraine together with the Russians.
Best regards, Paul

Ciao Bev,a great spring photo from your village, the gardens of peace, which the Ukrainian people hope to be able to rebuild soon, but for now there is no good news unfortunately. Winning outlook and perfect quality despite the cloudy day. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Dear Beverley,
It is a fairly well-composed photograph. We also have Narcissus in our fore-garden. Of course our house is not that spectacular.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Beverly,
Yes, I wish we could offer a little bit of peace and quiet from this garden to those in harm's way. I like the village church in the background, so simple!
Regards,
MT
