Photographer's Note
This is my favourite view from Glasgow. It was taken from the Glasgow Necropolis towards the Glasgow Cathedral. Both the cathedral and necropolis are very impressive and worth to visit. I suppose from this point of view it is easy to get impressed with the cathedral and its location. Glasgow Necropolis on the other hand has a fantastic setting on top of a hill across from the cathedral. Most of the time people avoid building cemeteries on top of a hill. Just imagine it rains and the water washes through the tombs and eventually flows into the water source for the town. Having said that, the place is very photogenic, and I am sure they filter the water before use.

Czesc Mariusz!
You had fantastic weather with not a single cloud in the sky! Good sharpness and a superb elevated view from the hilltop Necropolis. The bg cathedral adds a strong focal point. Tfs!

Gray old edifices are signs from times that Glasgow was a major industrial city, powered by coal, Mariusz.
Newer buildings can be seen with different colors, "cleaner" bricks.
High POV with bright sky brought out the attractive green, blue sky and the cityscape in the middle.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Mariusz, the elevated viewpoint gives us a good view of the cathedral and the surrounding buildings.
I don't know this part of Glasgow, but the inclusion of the grass and trees is a welcome contrast with the buildings.
Interesting note.
Kind regards, Jean.

Ciao Mariusz,I also hope that the water is filtered, even if I think that the juice of the dead is less toxic than other volatile substances that the rain drags to the ground .. hehee ... the view is truly remarkable, too bad that the tombs are in a great state of decay, at least so it seems from this photo, super quality as always. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
Such a fantastic photo with superb sunlight and amazing clarity. The cathedral and the other building behind it look fantastic under the clear blue sky and the bright green trees make the best foreground also.

Czesc Mariusz,
Miejsce faktycznie daje duzo mozliwosci fotografowania, moze byc ciekawy efekt jesienia gdy liscie drzew zmienia kolor. Dobry widok na katedre, ale rowniez swietnie zbudowany kadr.
pozdrawiam

Hi Mariusz,
A beautiful POV and a pleasant sunlight well captured, perfect colors rendering, I like the effect of these lines and the angle formed, I wonder if the permanent inhabitants of the tombs of this cemetery take advantage of the beautiful panorama ? well, I know the answer!

yes, this cemetery has a marvelous view, and I can say this because I was there. but I can bet with you the Borrazpolis cemetery has a much better view, a large and green horizon with mountains at the end.
in this photo we can even see the gate.
in my next trip I intend to visit a famous cemetery..
take care

Hello Mariusz,
If you want to see tombs vith a view, you should go to Jerusalem. Their view is the Temple Mount but they themselves look eerie. At least these tombs look nice.
Regards,
MT
