Bonjour Nigel
so long

Hiya Nigel,
Yes, well known Pickering station - always good to be reminded of these places where everyone can enjoy their part of history having a ride on one of them steam trains, running through most stunning Moors...
Last time went there the summer before last and almost died sweating - that's how hot it was!
Anyway, always good to see a good shot like yours, of a steamer entering an old station,
Robi

Nice shot, very sharp and you've managed to include just the right amount of station "furniture".

Hi Nigel,
I like this one more that your previous from Pickering. This one shows more of those rails, not pristine and with tight curves. Plus signals and other equipment. Nice to see spring colours at this time of the year too.

The train right in the middle with the steam is perfectly chosen with all the details on the side in the background, rolling straight towards us, the curve down left fits perfectly in the frame, I like the balanced deep color/contrast here, very natural with the green trees as decorum.
Excellent shot Nigel !
