Photographer's Note
A simple Dales landscape: everything in harmony.
Earth and air, wood and stone like notes in a symphony that are combined to make a beautiful sound, they make the landscape what it is.
Just cropped a little from the right, adjusted levels in the sky and increased brightness a touch.

Hi Brian,
good perspective of the wall stretching out to the far distant and two lonely trees backgrounded by nice sky. simple and beautiful composition. and i can feel that 'harmony' you've described in the title, i mean - it's kinda lonely but it's not melancholic or anything, i can feel 'peace' and some type of happiness, probably thx to the colours.

Very nice composition. I wonder if a polariser would have helped to put a bit more punch in the rather cold looking sky?

I like all the individual elements. The detail in the wall, the building, the position of the trees and the cloud are all good. The line of the wall does tend to lead the eye out of the picture, but it is then held by the building.
The only item I do find distracting is the top wire of the fence. I'm guessing that it is either rusty wire or possibly baler twine. I think cloning the one item out would make a difference.
Still a very nice shot.

Good composition - I like the way the wall & fence run diagonally across the frame, and how the trees stand out against the sky. Colours, sharpness & DOF are all good.

Hi Brian,
Great landscape composition.
I like the light, lines, DOF, sharpness.
I like the texture of the wall, the two trees on the field and the color of the sky.
A invitation to walk.
Thanks,
Corinne

Brian,
I really like the composition on this one. I like geometry in images. You have two opposite diagonals (with differing slopes), hard verticals (the posts), soft horizontals (the texture in the clouds), and a perfectly positioned rectangle. Plus two trees (who'se branches merge with each other (was this on purpose ?)) that add dimension. Love it !

Hello Brian,
Yet another very cool shot by you! I like the theme you suggest with the title. Yes it very harmonious, the various elements taken separately or as a whole. It is far more poetic because of this fence, which, taken separately is very...ugly, but here it fits in as I see it as an antithesis of the concept harmony.
I like the beautiful sky, that lonely house and the two trees who look like lovers in the field. Excellent picture!
thanks,
Marc
