Photographer's Note
Having a go at street photography with Kaj, and non TE member John (do you think he'll join Kaj), this is a shot from the hip shot that to me catches much of the atmosphere of my home town.
Reflecting on the some of the discussions we had. Well, we felt much more comfortable doing this in a small group, as though engaged in some project. As for tilting. Well, yes, it can be a gimick, but I left it in this shot, mainly to underline the 'shot from the hip' style, this was how it came out.

A very interesting street shot, Richard, with an excellent sunlight, colors and these two chatting women. I appreciate the tilt, and the red windows wit "sale" at the back - All ad to this nice scene.

Hi Richard,
I genuinely like this very much...a mother and daughter (presumably), enjoying the sun together...I must say, something my mother and I never do together. The last time I went into town with my mum was when I was a kid! I love the tangy-orange in her saree...she looks very articulate and modern, despite her traditional dress. A nice "from the hip" photo I feel.
John is debating getting broadband before he joins, though he tells me he has never been oput shooting the way we did together.
Hey, I also noticed you had a great photo at Rendell Park, with those two ladies on the bench...she had her shoes off...I think these would serve well in my "full english breakfast" theme...
ps. The tilt does not look at all gimmicky here...the reflections are great...the invisible woman is nowhere to be seen though - am I that small?!?

Nice capture of two ladies enjoying sun bath. Even though lighting was very harsh, you managed to capture it with right exposure. Also I like the reflection of the pedestrians on those large glass windows. TFS.

Arjun

Interesting cultural POV on this one. Here in this photo you show not only that cultural difference (in terms of clothes) may give some colour to the cities we are living in, but also perhaps you show a slight sympton on the generation gap between a mother in traditional clothing an her daughter with more standard fashionable (if you may consider it) clothes.
The 2/3 rule works fine, the tilted POV is a bit bold but works fine too

There is something very attractive about this photo. The colors are beautiful, and the white pants outfit is tasteful even as it contrasts with the sari. In a world in which multi-culturalism often implies tension, here there seems to be a mutual respect and comfort across cultures and across generations. Even the curved bench seems to bring things together. Lovely.

good day, richard,
nice one, simple, yet quite attractive - a good light, nice moment of chat, maybe missing some "drama" a bit,
best wishes, j.

Hi Richard,
A excellent daily life picture, two lady maybe the same culture, but other attire make your picture attractive, Also the reflections in windows are very well, you choice for a tilting picture, maybe we all experiments have to try.

Hallo Richard!
A wondeful daily-life-shot in amazing colours. The two ladies are so busy with talking that they surely dind't remark your assassination...
I tried to detect the phtographer in the windows of the store but I failed. ;-)
Greetings from Germany!

Hi Richard
A good daily life scene, of these 2 women conversing, with the tilt adding dynamism & vitality. I like the bright orange dress. Congratulations!

Hi Richard, a nice daily life scene, was a very good idea to have the guy in the background in order to give some power in the DOF... The reflection in the glasses is also cool... I am not sure about the tilt (not easy from the hip...).
Cheers
Yan
