Photographer's Note

This is Plas Newydd the ancestral home of of the Marquis of Anglesey. It is a magnificent house in Anglesey, on the edge of the Menai Straits. Inside the house is Rex Whistler's largest piece. It is a fantastical panorama painted on a single piece of canvas and it covers an entire wall in what is now the dining room. The painting is eighteen metres (58ft) wide, it was executed on one enormous piece of canvas which Whistler had made on a special French loom. It has a marvellous perspective, in that, when you walk along the picture, objects on the canvas change position.

I was here for a wedding and believe me, it is a fantastic setting for a wedding. There are lovely views across the straits to Snowdonia.

pp tweaked brightness, contrast, added border and resized.
