Photographer's Note
The views of the rock formation known as the Old Man of Storr dominate the road north from Portree into the Trotternish Peninsula. The POV here was from the base of the Storr and look carefully and you will see two persons making there way up.
The Storr mountain itself forms the southernmost end of the Trotternish ridge which extends in a north-westerly direction, taking in some of the most spectacular scenery on Skye, and offering some of the best opportunities for walking. There are two parking areas at the base of the Old Man of Storr, and trails lead up to the top of the ridge and beyond.

Hi Stephen,
A beautiful shot from you again!
Apparently you had a typical Skye's weather and you managed to take the best of it.
I like the colors and the view of the Cuillins in the distance.
The hikers give a good idea of the scale as well.
I went there for Easter time but unfortunately it was foggyStill, I enjoyed the unique atmosphere of this place.
Well done, TFS,
Damien.

Absoultely stunning, although the HDR effect is just slightly overdone for my taste. I think I'd prefer it without the hiker.

Hi Stephen,
I see you've got your Storr photo in the bag! It's an excellent one, and you got great weather for it - loads of clouds and light.
Excellent composition with the foreground left balancing out the Old Man
Cheers

Hello Stephen,
Very nice shot. The lightninh and the colors of the photos are giving a real interest to this landscape. You have also well used the Graduated filter to get the details on the clouds. The walker in the frame gives the scale.
Your photo gives me the wish to see this landscape by myself,
Yves.

Great photo. I thought you already posted this but then I recall I was confusing it with this one by Piotr. The landscape is really amazing. Skye must be a dream destination for us landscape lovers. The light in your photo is very good and your compo with the strong rock formations correctly placed is a bliss. Very good.

Another stunning shot! This is really jaw dropping stuff! The rocks are really dramatic, and the great thing is that they are matched by the sky! I like the mixed lighting, with the sun and shadow over the land giving a great sense of depth. The person on the trail adds a great sense of scale to this. Excellent!

omg
that stormy heaven and the green hills... that's defenietely one of the most dramatic photos I have seen here. I have no clue wether it's beacause of the filter you used or perfect light, but the ambiance is simply amazing...
that's Scotland I dream about...
best regards, Hanna

Hi Stephen
This is such spectacular scenery the way the rocks point upwards and how it looks so wild going down to the sea. The dark clouds give a dramatic touch and contrast so well with the nicely saturated grass.

After seeing some of your previous photos from this place, I went and looked through my old book of photos by Joe Cornish. He has some excellent pictures from here as well, but your photos are just as good. The great lighting and the dramatic landscape combine for a breathtaking image. I really wish I could be there. Keep up the great work.

Ryan
