Regent Street, a photo from London, England

Photographer's Note

Hi,
This is the Piccadilly end of Regent Street in London.
I have taken pictures from this same POV before - this one was from there.

This time though I had arrived here just before the blue hour in order to be able to get some ambient light and some colour in the sky.

In this view Piccadilly Circus is just behind me..
Working with a tripod on this spot means plenty of attention !
The same was true the first time I was here, but I guess because it was much darker then, it was not so obvious :-)

Some construction/refurbishment work seems to be on going on one of the buildings in the distance - which explains the rather annoying scaffolding that may be seen therein.

A very niec compistion with this warm colors and light. Very nice night light. It feels like a city kind of thing. And the blue sky added another good component. Well done. Sothy

A great shot of this famous street,taken from a maybe dangerous POV.The well choosen exposuretime shows good natural colors and fine details.

Quite a magical shot Daniel. Amazing lighting , especially the sparkle from the car headlights.

I plan on hitting the London streets at night soon, but need to wait a little bit for winter when it get darks a little earlier I think.

Excellent work Daniel. The light is wonderful and the exposure nice and even. The detail too is well defined. Classy frame. I'm not a great lover of the starburst filter - but is this case it is not too overpowering.

Beautiful composition ..awesome POV. I have visited the Regent street..passed it a number of times during my visit to London but it took ur image to tell me how beautiful it was..

Hi Daniel,
I like the POV of your shot. Although it's a night shot, there is still a nice blue sky. The light of the buses and cars are great. Excellent frame as well.

Hello, Daniel.

Another of your fantastic night shots! As usual, perfect exposure and clarity.

What would be nice is if you could let us see the exif data - I know that shutter speeds often don't appear when long exposures are taken - but it would be nice to know exactly what time of day you had taken it: you seem to have the exposure for the sky spot-on so you must have taken it at exactly the right time of day/night.

This is a top notch night shot, Daniel. It is incredibly lively, beautiful and clear. I admire your starlights and this time they are even more like fairy tales. I can't figure out where you put your tripod, though. In the middle of the traffic?? If so, of course you attract too much attention! )))))
