Photographer's Note

There are very few of this type of small boat around the Scottish waters now. They were called Puffers, not a real name. because of the small single stroke steam engine, they puffed with every stroke.
That name stuck,
Made famous with the film "The Maggie" 1950s
Also publication, and television series,
"the Vital Spark"

Well captured. The more records there are of this disappearing species the better! This one seems to be under refurbishment, all the better. Nicely presented out of the water showing the construction. Thanks.

Hi Robert,
A very fine photo of this old boat, very fine colours and a very good perspective from the railing along the boat.
The sky looks very white and I often get critized on my own pictures about that, but I have no idea what to do about it anyway. All in all, a very fine photo.
