Photographer's Note
Drunk man with a sandwich, London Underground.
I don't know - he looked pretty drunk, from the way he was staggering up the stairs...

Great photo - looks like he has got the 'midnight munchies'
I like you POV and the b&w feel.
Well done!

Hey, I think I know that guy. Tripped over him last time I was in London. Back to the silver stuff, huh, Ben? Bizarre shot. The background is all kind of sleek and futuristic -- Kubrick's 2001 -- and then this strange charcter goes stumbling through with that silly expression. Suddenly it's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Looks like a decisive moment -- at least for that guy. Best, -Hugh

This is a fantastic photo, Ben. The composition is perfect, and the contrast between his 'staggering' pose and the austere symmetry of the station lines is great. And I love it that it's exactly 'the world' that seems tilted, not him.
Super photo!

You managed to capture him as if he is the goalkeeper in an underground match :)
His expression, his standing and clearity on him are quite nice.
The way you are looking over stairs so nice that it gives the feeling of height and depth.
Compliments,
Burcu

Hi Ben,
He does look pretty drunk! Dunno if I would have to tried to take his picture in his state....risky! Funny attitude, reinforced by the background though!
Well done

Hi Ben,
Black and white is the perfect medium for this underground urban scene. Great perspective and patterens looking down the stairs and railings and ending with the other two people in the background. And finally this guy and his amusing stance and expression complete the shot. Great image!

hey good to see you around ben... and good to see this one also... i always love metro shots but this is more than that... i like the tilt, i like the contrast, i like the attitude of the guy in the frame... even the tiles on the walls and the texture of the steps add a lot to the charm of the shot... a real good job indeed...
cheers

Hi Ben, an excellent quality shot from a great perspective and well suited to B&W. The last time I pointed my camera at a drunk he threatened to do me over....at my age I think I'll stick to anything but humans!

Hi Ben,
How a simple tilt can make a man drunk ! And thois tilt is totally increased by all the geometric lines. The only element which is straight is the man, as if he was trying to preserve the apparences. But the lines have no pity for him. They show us that it's only an apparence.
Olivier.
