An Old Village XI, a photo from Mazandaran, East

Photographer's Note

11th in the serie,
"Djavaaher Deh" Village,
in the north of Iran,2200 m above sea level,
25Km distance to the Caspian Sea(Ramsar city),
and...having a history more than 2500 years!

It's a view from entrance the village,I hope I could be there in winter,but I'm very busy this days...now the village is snowed under,and without the people!

Lovely old village. Think this is a very good picture. Like the composition and depth of focus. Plus knowing the history from your note adds to the interest. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting continuing series. Good PoV, showing the stream curving through the houses. This one seems to present a very different feel from the othes. The houses look very uniform and not so old, almost industrial in style. Is the unpainted one in the foreground under construction, or being refurbished.

Voil� une architecture de maisons pour moi inconnues. Ces maisons sont toutes du m麥e type dans ce petit village de montagne, 騁roites et � deux niveaux, avec un toit � 4 pentes. Dur je pense de vivre dans ces endroits.

Very interesting view, houses are like mushrooms on that green ground "after rainy days". They are not in curtain line or in order by other way, but they follow topography. Very beautiful work you have done, Mohammed. Nice green and yellow tones on faces.

This is a pastoral scene. Good composition capturing this charming old village. I do hope you get to shot there again (with your new camera, ha ha). This is a good series of photos, especially I like the houses shots. May be you can add them all to a theme then it will be easy to browse.

Hi Mohammad, this looks like a nice village and from this angle the houses look like small towers. I like the surrounding predominant green landscape, the fog on the top of the mountain and the general feeling of a wet rainy day. Well captured!

well, i like the compo here - very low pov gives us a feeling that those houses are indeed built on the slope of the hill; nice, pleasent photo, event though the light conditions were a kind of difficult, weren't they

Nobody knows realy that Iran is green, in some places, your hill and mountains for this village are beautifull and architecture you show typical. Thank You for all Iran mountain you show.

I like the repetition of the houses & how one house breaks the mold, by not being painted a light cream color like the others. Excellent sharpness & pov.

From low up to the misty mountain with fresh colors makes this view nice to see, I feel the cool thin air Mohammad, light to breath, something else here with all the dust.

The panoramic format was a nice choice for this interesting presentation of the village buildings. Their similarity in architecture establishes a fun repetitive element in the foreground - and as always in the background we get to see another one of those scenic and green lancscapes from Iran. Good shot, Mohammad.

Back in the north. This one is really attractive. The colors are beautiful and the contrast excellent. The buildings really stands out. The composition is really great, too, and the way the mountain and hill play forms a bowl really drawing the eye into this photo toward the center. Nicely done.

Nice point of view to present us this small ancient village, effective composition placing the houses on the diagonal. Nice DoF and sharpness, I like the form of these houses, they make me think of mushrooms !!
