Photographer's Note

Sometimes I become homesick for rice fields. The colors, layers & the peoples when are working hard in the fields,�and sometimes in the mornings or the afternoons,I like a silence in the field痴 atmosphere. It痴 one of a great absorbing thing for me, too.

A Drop of Silence is title of an instrumental song from Kitaro 1992-Dream album.

The green colours tintes, the horizontal lines with the depth give a wonderful picture here Mohammad, maybe above the small grain in the cloud is maybe of the scanning, but very nice photo.

The composition is the strongest point in favor of this image. The zig zag lines make a nice pattern. Absence of people makes it very peaceful, like the field is resting after a hard day's of work upon it!

A very nice rendering of rice fields - with a beautiful mix of green and blue. There is some noise in the sky - but NeatImage would surely take care of that.

More rice. Another nice one in the series, but as I suggested with an earlier one, I think a tighter crop on the sky would have helped here, especially since the graininess there seems a bit at odds with the rest of the shot, as Per points out, with an alternative soln.

Beautiful composition! I like the diagonals created by the rice fields dams. The selected point of view is excellent because it creates a gradation of green intensity, I like ver much!

I like the horizontal lines cutting across the rice fields.
Very nicely done. Good POV, I like how the density of the rice in each paddy seems to multiply going into the distance.

Again a nice graphism from the rice fields, Mohammad. In this one, I like how the shooting angle allows to see the plants surrounded by water in the foreground, and then towards the back the plants turn more and more into this "green carpet". A pleasant and quiet shot in the fine rural setting.

Again a superb composition around the theme of the rices fields . The graphic effect rendered by the lines of ground, water and the sprouts of rice are superb. I adore the graduated colors of the blue-gray toward the green from the foreground to the background. Wonderful, Mohammad!

Reminds me to my own hometown.
My father used to take me out on Sundays and walk around the rice field.
He also told me how to play jet plane using tall grass (just like those at the side of rice field in your picture).

Nice depth view of the layers in this rice field that is beginning the cycle.
I see that one of your favorite subjects for shooting is rice field. A few years ago in Thailand I was lucky to have the experience of walking through rice fields. I was very calm and relaxing and definitely one of the highlights of that trip. (so I think I know something about the atmosphere you were talking about)

I don't know why I keep coming back and studying your padi fields. It is always just so strange to me of how ignorant we are, once we see the reality or what we had wrongly perceived. Through your padi fields series I learnt not just about your culture but your country. A drop of silence, for a glimmer of knowledge.

Very nice one Mohammad. I like the growing rice and light on the wate, but especially all the diagonal lines at slightly different angles. After stepping back through all the fields the eye rests on the steep hill in the background with the darker sky above it.
