Fall in Winter, a photo from Mazandaran, East

Photographer's Note

Namakabroud is a tourist village in the Mazandaran province, Iran(north of Iran). It is located 12 kms east of Chalous and covers 650 hectares area with the Caspian sea on its north and the Alborz heights on its south.
It is also a nice recreational area with 2 telecab, restaurants and approximately 200 hectares covered with different types of trees consistent with the climate.

Hi Atousa, A very different view of Iran than those we're used to. Autumn colours are very attractive (although surprising at this time of year). The image is perhaps a little dark and I would have preferred the seat, which provides a nice focal point to be closer to the corner as well as brighter. cheers, Steve

A pretty and picturesque scene with some distinct signs of autumn. Framed well and I like your composition with good details and tones. The bench in mid-FG provides an interesting subject in this quite and serene look. Although I feel its slightly underexposed in the FG area, nevertheless its an xcellent capture. Well done, Congrats.

Beautiful shot with really intense color of the red shinning through the thick branches, the light is low but still show much details of all the falling leave, I can almost hear the sound of the leaves cracking as you step on the ground.

Even in this darkness (I would have liked a bit more luminescence), we can admire the colours of autumn...the leaves strewen across the ground. Like the red flowers on the trees. The bench, in a diagonal creates a good focal point. Almost like an artwork!

Hello Atousa,

With a subtle rust colored glow, there is an atmosphere of considerable melancholy, evoking unmistakable lines from Omar Khayyam.

I have been working on a new book about Isaac Newton, and in reviewing the mathematics he knew before starting his own formulations, there was the mathematical work of Khayyam, some of which I had forgotten, and the poetical works, those magical quatrains, that I can never forget. Are they still regarded as beautiful in old Persian, as they sound in their English translations?
