Photographer's Note
from Esfahan Info:
The grand bazaar of Isfahan is a must for every visitor. You can go for a short walk in the main pathway of the bazaar and get a glimpse of the colours, scents, tastes, architecture and the people of the bazaar so you have a story to tell with a couple of selfies and probably some souvenirs. However, if you can afford, in terms of time, you can spend the better part of a day to stroll down every pathway of the maze of alleys, traveling back in time form late 17th century (Safavid era, when the new Meydan or Square was built) to late 11th century (Seljuk era, when the old Meydan or Meydan Kohneh was constructed). Only the people who work in the bazaar can find their way to their exact destination, so do not even try not to be lost. Indulge yourself in what the centuries-old bazaar has to offer. The lively atmosphere of the shops and shoppers, the gleaming handicrafts, the music of the hammers and copper plates mixed pleasantly with the strong hum of the crowd under the arched roofs. Heavenly light penetrates here and there from the centre of the arches giving the floating particles a magical slow-motion effect. Whether you are here for colours, for music, for history, for photography or just her for a new experience with new people and culture, this place is the right place.
Well, I would love to spend there more time but there is so much to see in Esfahan. I lost my way in this maze of the narrow streets and I felt a bit paniqued.
The bazaar, one of the oldest and largest bazaars in the Middle East, dates to Saljuqid and Safavid era and is the longest roofed market in the world. The bazaar is a vaulted two-kilometre (!) street linking the old city with the new.
I will upload Workshops.

Hello jmalgo,
Even from the thumbnail, this looked a riot of colours!
You have not only captured the visual details of this bazaar, you have furnished it with atmosphere.
I like the w/s snapshots of individual stalls but it is this shot that conjures up the atmosphere.
The wonderful ceiling of arches transports us along the line of stalls, whilst the little details tell us that the children of Iran will be drooling over 'Frozen', just as the children in the U.K.

Hello Malgo,
I can't remember this but I can't imagine I didn't come here. There is enough to watch here for a long time, and I'm impressed that you managed the light and colours so well. It's also perfectly sharp. Especially WS2 with the two man would also have made a fine main photo.
I think it's only thanks to Covid 19 that we are shown these photos. Without the lockdown you would never have found time to post them, because you would have been constantly on new journeys picking up thousands of new photos which you would never have time to watch properly. ;-)
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Malgo,
The bazaar is colorful. The point of view is showing the details of the products which are offered for sale. The surrounding light is enhancing the beauty of the colours. Have a nice day.

Hi Malgo,
As just wrote to Beverley, there are places we see on TE, that most members would not see or visit in a lifetime - and this place is surely one of those.
A vivid and vibrant scene in the Bazar, can only imagine the tumult goe's on threre.
Good afternoon,

This shot in the large version fills my screen, and I get a real sense of the building with its amazing ceilings.
It is a real feast for the eyes.

Hello dear Malgo,
This looks to me to be the sort of place where people used to say you could buy anything "from a pin to an elephant". Your note is wonderfully descriptive and your three photographs give us a wonderful flavour of this huge bazaar. A two kilometre covered street!
Your main photograph shows us just how busy this street is - no evidence of any social distancing here! And it's a fine colourful and detailed photograph too.
Workshop #1 is an excellent image of one of the stalls or shops with a fine array of different artworks and wares but workshop #2 of the two men playing some sort of board game is absolutely charming!
Three wonderful photographs!
You take care.
Kind Regards,
John. xx

Hello Malgo,
The bazar is a wonderful world!
No matter in which country you enter it, a completely different world opens up.
You present us here very colourful pictures of the Esfahan bazar.
I can see that the headscarf is worn less strictly by the lady in your main photo than when I was in Iran. In that time, ladies were not allowed to show any of the hair on the head.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Malgo.
The Isfahan Bazaar is a wonderful conglomerate of the most diverse things and many precious, the building is also to highlight, for its antiquity and charm.
I have been absent for a while, due to a problem with my internet connection, now everything is fine and we return to TE.
Well done. I like very much
You have a good day.
Very best regards
Luis.

Hello Malgo,
Looks similar to the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. Good color and sharpness and well managed interior lighting. A perfect shutter speed as well with the passing shoppers in sharp relief. Tfs!

Super zdjecie z ogromna iloscia kolorowych szczegolow. Super scenka w WS, to powinien byc jeszcze jeden glowny post.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie
Kasia
Ps. Widze ze wrocilas i piszesz krytyki. Bardzo sie ciesze, jak rowniez z tego, ze juz nie jestesmy wszyscy podejrzani o bycie robotami. :-D
