Another shot from the old market section of Jerusalem close to the Damascus Gate. There is a minaret poking up behind the tree and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is just out of frame on the right.

Hello Chris,
A nice view from a low angle with quite a lot to see. This goes further than the usual view through arches by including elements outside the wall. Many details give us an idea of the mixed history of this city, The colours are very nicely intense.

I like the point of view and the use of the arch as a frame for the scene beyond. Agreeable warm/cool colour contrasts and very good sharpness.

The old frontage with white stone and fantastic arches makes your picture attractive.
Formerly the workers made this all with the hand, real artist.

J'aime beaucoup cette contre plong馥. Elle donne beaucoup d'ampleur � l'arche qui sert de porte monumentale, tout en utilisant un ciel parfait comme arri鑽e plan.

Hello Chris,

This is an unusual aspect through an archway. Usually, we see a street, here, we see the tops of buildings; I like that!
The details of the stones are very nicely captured, showing their colours, textures and relief.

Wonderful spot found within the old town walls, and frankly my friend - I do not remember myself walking in this alley, even though been in the old city several times. But nowadays, we try not to go to this quarter for different reason I would not specify here.
Superior sight under the arch, good light and exquisite clear objects collected.

I remember this gate, we stayed here for a minute while the guide was talking. I liked the indirect light illuminating the old arch.
