Shining under the morning light, a photo from Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv

Photographer's Note

Shining morning light upon the new towers of Tel-Aviv.
All those tall dwelling & offices building rising on a narrow stretch between the major Ayalon-Highway (where a giant advertisement board can be spotted on mid-to -right side of the image � there it hangs prominently over the highway) and the main routes of city-roads connecting Tel-Aviv from the suburbs of Givatayim, Ramat-Gan and farther inland, locating at 32.080, 34.796 on the map.

Picture was taken with 90mm zoom extract from my favorite spot on the highest hill in Givatayim, which its roof-tops can be seen on the foreground.
RAW, F10.0, 1/320, ISO100.

Hello Ike,
It seems the early morning light has not yet quite reached the skyscrapers in the background, which creates a fine contrast of bright and relatively shady areas. The view gives us a good idea of the changing skyline of Tel Aviv, almost like an archeological excavation above the ground. I particularly like the red and white details on the buildings to the right, and the cranes have the same tones. The quality of this photo is very good.

Hi Ike

I recently watched a news item video of many young Jews leaving Tel Aviv and going to Berlin. I wish them well.

One of the reasons was the ever rising cost of living in Tel Aviv and the stagnant wages. The ever changing skyline of the city is proof that land prices are getting higher and the city can ill afford to spread out all over the place like Los Angeles. Excellent sharpness and framing. Tfs!

The photo shows a vibrant city with a great variety of architecture, which is getting even bigger with the three towers under construction. The light was wonderful here.

The smaller buildings are framing well the bigger one. The point of view is showing the details of the highrise buildings. The morning light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Ike,

Normally are the morning pictures the most beautiful, the air is stil clean.
We get a nice view between the low buildings and skyscrapers.
The cranes are a nic eaddition around the big buildings.
Excellent composition and lovely presentation.

No sign of any let-up in the Tel-Aviv building boom. I like the contrast in lighting between foreground and background, which is well handled. Also, the excellent clarity.

Hello Ike, an interesting skyline where the sunlight seems to have been selective! And so the foreground buildings stand out against the grey and darker towers.
The cranes seem so high, how can anyone work in them?

Another splendid picture of the ever changing skyline of Tel Aviv. We can see here that the construction works continue in different places.
Beautiful light. Excellent sharpness.
Very nice with the skyscraper in the middle that is completely in the shade, making a good contrast with the light coloured buildings on the foreground.

Hi Ike,
great contrast of the well lit buildings and darker appearing sky. The effect is very eye catching.
I like to see the roofs of smaller houses in the foreground together with the countless chimneys. Also the cranes seem to be a repeated motif indicating constant growth of the city.

yes, you have shown us many photos on TE from this site, this hill you keep speaking of. I think you should take a photo from one of those highrises looking back at the hill haha. and I have to say, that lighting is A+ striking the shorter mid height buildings. wonderful blue/grey sky for the perfect color contrast, really, a nice shot all the way. love it.

Hello Ike, Impressive view of the skyscrapers. We see that there are built the next ones. Their architecture is not especially interesting, they are just high. Not something that I like, but it is the reality in most towns. Excellent sharpness.

Hello Ike,

This is such an interesting photograph because of the light as well as the buildings.
The early morning light seems to be illuminating the lower buildings and yet the skyscrapers are in shadow and the sky is not yet bright.
From your viewpoint, the city seems to be growing higher, the further back you travel!
You must have noted many changes over the time that you have been photographing your fast developing city!

Ike, splendid urban landscape where appear different types of buildings. Both modern skysrcapers stand alongside old buildings. Good light, neat image.
