Photographer's Note

There are dozens of rock arches in Wadi Rum. This one was high up in the mountains, and climbing it in 41 c heat was out of the question. A wide angled view appears as a workshop.

Taken enroute on a daytrip to Burdah rock bridge.

Hello Chris,
Regardless of the heat this probably looked better from below anyhow, so there was probably not much need to climb that rock. It's a rather "artistic" natural phenomenon and the photo is well exposed with fine contrasts of brown and blue.

An amazing photo of this rock arch. The warm tones of the rocks make a great contrast with the blue sky and the shapes of the rock look so good with this play of light and shadow as well.

Climbing in such heat is not to be recommended so, I think you were smart!

Hello Chris, It looks like a photo taken in Utah. Interesting stone bridge. probably one day it will collapse. Fantastic view against the blue sky. Wadi Rum is such a beautiful desert, a lot to explore.

A truly impressive natural arch. I had no idea there are many of them in Jordan. Good direction of light to show rock forms clearly. Steep upwards angle works well.
