ALEXANDREIA - TROAS
It was founded by Antigonos one of the commanders of Alexander the Great, in 310 B.C. and given the name "Antigoneia."
Lysimachos enlarged the city neighboring towns and its name was changed to Alexandeia- Troas.
In Alexandreia- Troas the theatre, palace, temple, agora, baths, necropolis and also the harbour on the west of the city and the city walyls may be visited.
There has been no archaeological excavations carried out yet in Alexandreia- Troas which was destroyed by an earthquake.

ALEXANDREİA TROAS

Dalyan k�y�nde'dir. M.ﾖ 310'da "Sgia" adlı k�錮k bir k�y�n yerine kurulmuştur. Kurucusu Antigonos'un adıyla anılarak, kente Antigonie denmiştir. Daha sonra Lysmakos, yerleşmenin adını "Alexandreia -Troas" olarak değişmiştir. G�輙� ve zengin bir ticaret merkezi olarak gelişen kente, Romalılar d�neminde de �nemini korumuştur.
