Gazi Mihal Bridge, a photo from Edirne, Marmara

Our next stop was Gazi Mihal Bridge ("Gazi Mihal Kr�s�"). "It once carried the main road from the center of Edirne towards the west. It marks the location of an earlier Roman bridge of which only a few stones remain. The earlier bridge was originally built by the Byzantine emperor Michael VIII (1259-1282) but was rebuilt early in the 15th century by the Ottoman frontier lord Gazi Mihal. In 1544, Ottoman sultan Suleiman the Magnificent (r. 1520-1566) added eight arches at its western end, which had originally eight arches. Sultan Mehmed III (r. 1595-1603) added a span with two arches, which is called the middle bridge." (Gleaned from Wikipedia)

The top frame is taken from the eastern end of the bridge looking west and the bottom frame is from the middle.

A good series featuring bridges of different styles and era's but I do prefer the old stone one.

Hello Murat,
I understand your choice of main upload because the two photos show the ancient bridge you wanted to see. But as a photo the WS showing the steel bridge is better. We see a nice scenery, two parallel dirt roads and a man walking along one of them. However, light and colors are good in all photos.
