Bankers Avenue

This is a shot of Bankers Avenue looking eastward from the corner of the New Mosque. The New Mosque is located on the left side of this street behind the camera. In front of the lens, on the right is İş Bankası Museum. On the left is the Bah軻kapı Branch of Garanti Bank. Further on the left is Truva Cafe.

Bu, Yeni Camii'nin k�şesinden doğuya doğru Bankacılar Caddesi'nin bir 軻kimidir. Yeni Cami fotoğraf makinesinin arkasında, bu sokağın sol tarafında yer almaktadır. Merceğin �nde, sağda İş Bankası M�zesi var. Sol tarafta Garanti Bankası'nın Bah軻kapı Şubesi var. Solda daha uzakta da Truva Kafe var.

Hi Murat

You had wonderful weather with bright sunshine and clear blue skies. A superb overview of this interesting street with the mobile carts selling snacks like corn, chestnuts and bread, and the veiled woman taking a selfie. I saw a husband taking a photo of his wife in Sultanahmet even though her face was completely covered with a black veil and her eyes with gauze. Personally I don't see the point of taking a photo of anyone whose face is completely hidden. Tfs!

Street scene with the relatively older architecture's design that reminding me of Jaffa, which was built during the Ottoman's era in the 19th century.

banks aren't a so evident think in islamic countries. curious the shapes of the building with a touch of traditional architecture and something of western aspect.

Hello Murat,
Although this is such a centrally located street I have a feeling that most tourists don't find their way here. I know I have gone this way, but not very often and I don't immediately recognize it. I have probably only come here looking for something else. But it's a nice street with some quite attractive buildings and it's a pleasant "nothing special" photo, well exposed and showing ordinary daily life in Istanbul.
